Mary Pelton-Cooper, Minnesota School of Professional Psychology, Psy.D. and Associate Professor, is a registered nurse and practicing therapist whose teaching interests include topics in clinical psychology, personality theory, abnormal psychology, human sexuality, and developmental psychology. Her nursing experience is in obstetrics and maternal/child public health and her therapy experience has been in the wide range of mental health needs of adults. Currently she has a private practice in the Marquette community. Her husband, David Cooper is a philosopher at NMU, and together they have five children.
