The Faculty of the Department of Psychology is pleased to announce the selection of our ourstanding graduates: Jillian Brown-Burley has been named the Outstanding Graduating Senior in Psychology for 2008-2009; Robin Mackie is our Outstanding Graduating Graduate in Psychology, Training, Development, and Performance Improvement for 2008-2009. Please join us in congratulating these two outstanding students!
Megan Johnson and Holly Majszak were selected to receive Jean M. Rutherford Scholarships for being named Outstanding Continuing Students in Psychology for 2007. The Psychology faculty base their selection on academic and non-academic accomplishments, overall potential and projected success in the future.
The Rutherford/Lewis Award was established for the expressed purpose of offering financial support to NMU Psychology students pursuing advanced degrees in psychology, who are judged by the faculty to possess the ability to make outstanding contributions to the field of psychology.
The following students were selected to receive the 2007-2008 Rutherford/Lewis Scholarships: Amy Ahola (Northern Michigan University, Psychology of Training, Development, and Performance Improvement); Diane Betts (Ohio University, Clinical/Social Work); Jamie Lucas (Antioch New England, New Hampshire, Psychology); and Amanda Rosenburg (Columbia University, Educational Psychology).
