Dr. Adam Prus
Research in the Psychopharmacology Laboratory consists of evaluating the
effects of psychoactive drugs that are used to treat schizophrenia, depression or
bipolar disorder. Experiments conducted in this laboratory utilize behavioral models
and neurochemical assays to assess drug action on cognition and brain function, and
therefore, students that work in this laboratory gain unique skills in neuroscience
research. Students interested in becoming a research assistant in the Psychopharmacology
laboratory should have taken a course on Physiological Psychology, Human Physiology, or a
life science course that includes a laboratory section. Please contact Dr. Adam Prus
for more information.
